Celebrating Community Health Center Week

The proclamation states August 8-14, 2010 is Valley View Health Center Week.


As part of Valley View Health Center’s National Community Health Center Week celebration, the Valley View Early Learning and Literacy Corner Open House was held Aug. 10. The event included a Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by several local business representatives, a dozen families and Clifford the Big Red Dog, provided by the Centralia Timberland Library.

Children were given free backpacks and Sounders FC bags, provided by Community Health Plan of Washington. Apples were provided by McDonald’s, and new books by the Lewis County Early Learning Coalition. The event was also the official kickoff for the Early Learning Coalition 2010-2011 calendar distribution. Early Learning calendars are available at several businesses, including Valley View Health Centers in Chehalis, Onalaska, Toledo and Winlock, Centralia College Child and Family Studies Program, Centralia Library, Pediatrics Northwest and others.
