- Reliable Enterprises Housing. A one-page application is required with a copy of SS letter if applicable, ID, and pay stubs or bank statements. While there is a short waiting list, we consider the severity of need. Applicants who can room with another person may be able to get in sooner. Community Partners Cold-Weather Resources
Our Cold-Weather Resources Include:
- Winter Emergency Phone Numbers
- The City of Refuge in Centralia provides a day shelter for the homeless and unemployed. Services include job counseling, internet access, resume help and showers on a limited basis. Shelter address is 616 Field Street in Centralia, near Washington School. The program is available on Wednesdays only, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- Other resources for homeless: When weather gets 40 degrees or colder, the Destiny Christian Center opens their Outreach site across the street from the church at 416 N. Tower. They provide a meal, shelter and sleeping bag. They also provide a food bank the last Saturday of the month from 9:00 – 10:30 am at the same address.
- The Lewis County Shelter program provides long-term shelter to individuals and families who qualify through their program. A screening at the office at 713 N. Tower in Centralia: must be at least 3 days clean and sober,
cannot have any current Wants or Warrants, and we do not take sex offenders (Level 1's are allowed in the men's shelter on a case-by-case basis). Office number is 736-5140 and our after-hours number is 269-6688.
Valley View Health Center clinics are Community Health Plan (CHPW) clinics. Community Health Plan provides quality health care in 300 clinic sites in Washington State and valuable incentives for young families to stay current on immunizations and well-child exams. If you are on Medicare, you may qualify for more benefits with Community Health First Medicare Advantage Plans. Valley View Health Centers provides medical, dental, and behavioral health services to Lewis County residents, primarily to the uninsured and under-insured, with payments based on a sliding fee scale.
