Who We Are

Board Members - Administration - Medical Director - Dental Director

Our History

Providence Hospital was faced with an enormous demand for charity care, especially in the emergency room. Providence and other community members started an investigation on the best way to provide funded access to care for this population.

After research, the group decided the "Best" choice was the creation of a Federally Qualified health Center (FQHC) clinic. A FQHC clinic requires, (1) Separate 501 (c) (3) not for profit corporation (2) Independent consumer majority board (51%) (3) Focus of serving the low income and un-insured.

A work group and board was formed with community members to develop the project. Valley View received startup money from the Providence system and the community. We submitted a grant to the federal government for community health center funding.
